Internet Archive founder and Digital Librarian Brewster Kahle will be discussing the Democracy’s Library initiative to create free, open, and sustainable access to government research and publications.
As part of its effort to support the creation and improvement of open-source software and open protocols for a decentralized web, the Filecoin Foundation has awarded a grant to the Internet Archive and Internet Archive Canada. Internet Archive Canada is thrilled to be able to leverage the funding to plan for an open platform to digitize, make accessible, and preserve Canadian government publications.
As members of the government information community, we value the expert knowledge of others who work passionately in this field. We are hoping to meet and hear from you directly as we begin scoping the challenges and solutions. This will be a small in-person gathering at the headquarters of Internet Archive Canada in Vancouver.
When: Monday, December 5th, 2022
Where: 330 W Pender St., Vancouver

Light refreshments will be served during our discussion, and we invite you to stay for a glass of wine afterwards.
